This Christmas was a wonderful Christmas. We were able to share it with the ones we love and that's all that matters. Below are some pictures from Grayson's First Christmas.

Temple Square
Aside from weather conditions and crazy shoppers, Christmas time is my favorite time of year. I love the gift of giving and everything that comes with it. This Christmas and Christmases to come will be even better now that we have Grayson. Steve and I can’t even imagine life without him now that he is here. On Christmas, he will be two months old. I can’t believe it. I know he is still so young, but these past 8 weeks have gone by fast.
For as long as I can remember, we have gone to look at the lights on Temple Square with our good friends, the Hogensons. And this year, we were able to have a new person grace us with his presence...Grayson. We kept him snuggled up in his car seat until the very end for pictures because we were worried the cold weather would upset him, but it didn’t even faze him. He got fussy for just a minute while we were strapping him into the sling, and then he just passed back out. He looked like a big marshmallow in his snowsuit! It was pretty funny!

Back to work
Today is Thursday, December 17, 2009 and I have been back to work for 9 days now. I thought I would be more sad leaving Grayson. Don't get me wrong because I miss him so much, but I know he is in good hands and he loves spending his days with Grandpa Tom and Grandma Jen. We are so thankful that we are able to leave Grayson with family.
We just love when he does the strectchy-stretch!
Maggie thinks Grayson's bouncer is really hers. We even turned the vibrate mode on to scare her and it didn't even faze her. I think she actually liked it. She is so cute with Grayson.
We were at Walmart the other day and Steve wanted to get this carrier so he could carry Grayson around the house. Grayson wasn't too happy at first, but he does really well in it now. Aren't my boys so handsome?!
Look! He is smiling! We just love when he smiles!
Me and my little man. I don't look the greatest, but I love the look on his face.

Thanksgiving
Today is Tuesday, December 15, 2009. It has been awhile since I have posted anything, and I apologize, but life has been hectic. Grayson is now 7 weeks old and is getting bigger by the minute. He is not fat by any means, he is just so tall and looks older than he should. He does however have the cutest set of chubby cheeks.
Well I thought I would tell you about Grayson's first Thanksgiving. We spent Thanksgiving with Tom and Suzanne and her family in the early afternoon. It was so nice getting together with their family. We all missed Grandpa Ned though and Steve and I are so sad that he never got a chance to meet Grayson. He would have loved him so much. After we ate some delicious food, we headed for St. George to spend the weekend there. We stopped in Hurricane to see my Grandpa and Grandma Hinton so they could hold their first Great Grandson. After that we went to my Grandpa and Grandma Williams' house to they could see Grayson. It turned out to be a very nice weekend and Grayson was able to meet so many people who had been anxious for his arrival. Below are some pictures that we took. I wish we had taken more.

Halloween
Yesterday was Halloween...and not just any Halloween, but Maggie and Graysons first Halloween! I wasn't planning on doing much since I literally can't, but we did have some visitors. Our wonderful friends Justin and Jenny brought over dinner and stayed to visit awhile. They brought along their kids Amaiya and Micah to show off their cute Halloween costumes. We decided to throw Grayson in his costume so we could take some pictures and he is such a big boy that his costume barely fit! LOL. Anyways, it turned out to be a very nice evening. Steve was at the Utah game with my Dad and Ryan, so my mom came over to keep me company and help me out with Grayson.

New Addition to the Jones Family
Steve and I are so pleased to announce that our son, Grayson Robert Jones arrived via Caesarean Section in the early hours of October 25, 2009. Coming in at a whopping 9 pounds 11 ounces and 22 inches long, he surely is a big boy. He has ten little fingers and ten little toes and is healthy, and we are so grateful.
Well the story is quite funny actually, and it goes a little like this...I sent Steve to the U of U football game on Saturday with my Dad and brothers and he was quite upset with me because he was worried I would go into labor. I assured him I wouldn't and sent him on his way. A few hours later I woke up from my nap with awful cramps and ran to the bathroom when my water broke. I called Steve and said "You're gonna kill me, my water just broke." He was so nervous/excited that he didn't even say "I told you so!" I then called my Mom to come get me and we headed for the hospital. Steve left the game and took the trax to meet us at the hospital. There, they admitted me and checked to see where I was. I was dilated to a five. I had a few unbearable contractions, but the anesthesiologist made things all better. Before we knew it I was to a ten and pushing like crazy. Three hours later we were still in the same place and Grayson hadn't budged. This is when I decided a caesarean section would be the best way to go. I was exhausted from pushing and was done.
Anyways, our stay in the hospital was a little longer than planned and we weren't able to come home until Thursday morning. It has been a rough few days and I'm sure the next few weeks and months will be even rougher, but it is more than worth it. We love our little man more than anything. Grandma Tricia brought Maggie home yesterday and we were kind of worried about how she would act around Grayson, but she is so cute. She has just been super cautious and curious. It's so cute.

Steve's Birthday
Today is Monday, September 21, 2009 and I thought I would write about the weekend and about Steve's 28th Birthday. Geez…is he getting old or what?!
On Friday, we went down to Manti to the Homecoming Game. They recognized Steve’s 1999 high school football team at half time, so it was nice for Steve and his friends to get together for a little reunion. We got back late Friday night and then on Saturday we dropped Maggie off at Grandma's house and headed for Park City. I thought it would be nice for us to get away for the night, so I picked Park City since it’s not too far away and it’s just gorgeous this time of year. We stayed up at the Park City Peaks Hotel and went shopping at the outlets, walked up and down Main Street, ate at some great restaurants, and went to see the movie White Out. We came home yesterday evening and stopped at my Moms house to “pick up Maggie.” I had planned to have our families and his closest friends there waiting so they could surprise him. It didn’t turn out to be much of a surprise since he figured it out, but it still turned out to be a great night and Steve had a wonderful birthday...which is all that matters to me. My spoiled husband got so much for his birthday. He got a tennis racquet and tennis accessories, Season One of Dexter, some clothes, and some money/gift cards. Oh…and he got a new road bike. Now we both have bikes, so once I have the baby we can start going for rides together.
Well, that about sums up our weekend. Below are a few pictures from Park City and from the Birthday BBQ.
